LeoVerde

Nocciolino – biomass fuel made out of Tuscan Olives

Nocciolino LeoVerde is a natural biomass fuel suitable to feed stoves and boilers, with a better calorific value compared to traditional biomass fuels (pellets, wood chips and wood).

The LeoVerde Nocciolino is created during the olive pressing process, a purely mechanical process. Therefore Nocciolino is a pure ecological fuel free of adhesives and solvents.

Within the Biogas process wood materials are not useful being indigestible. Thus Nocciolino would have become a leftover. Turning a waste into a resource has the double result: avoiding the production of waste and using it as an alternative to another fuel.

HOW THE LEOVERDE NOCCIOLINO IS BORN

The LeoVerde Nocciolino is a 100% ecological fuel; acquired only by mechanical separation, without using solvents or chemical substances. Centrifugal force alone is able to separate the fractions of the olive stone from the residues of pulp and peel obtained by pressing of olives.

The result of this process is on one side “food” for the biogas plant and on the other Nocciolino, a biomass fuel, ecological and with a high calorific value, ideal for feeding boilers and stoves in place of the most expensive and less natural pellet.
